Nirma University - Courses

The Institute of Law offers five years integrated Programme B.A. LL.B. (Hons.). Law is closely related to social sciences. A deep insight into the subject requires proper study of the Historical, Political and Social perspectives of development of law which is focused in the curriculum of the B.A. L. L B. (Hons.) Course. The Institute also aspires to impart practical training for practicing law and thus helping the society by producing valuable and responsible citizens.

Nirma University - Admissions

For BA LLB course the total seats are 80. Eligibility HSCE, or 10+2, or its equivalent examination conducted by Gujarat State Education Board or any other examining body, thereto, in any stream as a regular student with English as one of the subjects, with minimum 50% marks in aggregate.   The age of the candidate should not be more than 21 years of age on the 30th June of the year of admission.

Admission criteria Admission shall be given as per the merit list prepared wherein 75% weightage shall be given to the performance of the All India Entrance conducted by this University for this purpose and 25% weightage to the marks obtained in the qualifying examinations.

Entrance test The test will be held at the following centers:

Ahmedabad, Banglore, Delhi, Indore, Jaipur, Mumbai, Rajkot, Surat, Vadodara, Luckhnow, Kolkata.

Nirma University - Infrastructure

The institute is situated in Nirma University of Science & Technology campus about 15 kms from Ahmedabad city on the Sarkhej - Gandhinagar Highway. A 110-acre sprawling campus in picturesque surroundings provides a refreshing environment, stimulating intellectual alertness and creativity.  The classrooms are spacious, air-conditioned, well-equipped with modern furniture and audio-visual equipment to facilitate effective learning.  Computing facilities for students include a laboratory equipped with 40 computers to the Windows NT server and Local Area Network.  The institute building has modern amenities, with enough space, and replenished with modernity and grandeur.

Students store is run on no profit and no loss basis and provides all the necessary materials like stationary instrument etc. to students.

For the benefit of students and staff members, an extension counter of Sola road branch of Kalupur Commercial Co-operative Bank has been provided on the university campus.

Transport facility is provided to students from their residence to the institute and back. For this University has its own fleet of new buses which ply on pre-decided routes.

Playgrounds for Cricket, Volleyball, Football, and other games are available in the campus. Indoor games facilities have also been created. Full-fledged gymnasium facility is also available for students.
