N S Sothi Law College, Sangli.
The University’s management, ‘Latthe Education Society’ is a society registered under Bombay Public Trust Act, 1950 and Societies Registration Act, 1860. This parent body of the University’s college was established in 1951 with the object of providing facilities for the education in various faculties, one among which was, legal education. The University’s management is an ideal one. All the members are well educated representing different fields of area. The Chairman, Shri. Suresh A. Patil, is an ex-Mayor of Sangli-Miraj-Kupwad Corporation. Adv. B. B. Khemlapure graces the office of Vice-Chairman. The University’s Honorary Teacher, Adv. V. S. Sakale is the treasurer and The University’s former Principal, Shri. V.T. Chougule hold office of Honorary Secretary of the management. The University’s management all teaching, non-teaching staff members and students to participate in number of academic and cultural acitivities. It conducts prestigious ‘Latthe Festival’ annually.

College provides instructions to the students appearing for Degree of
1. 3 Years Law Course
- Bachelor of General Laws - LL-B. (Gen.) - 2 Years Course
- Bachelor of Special Laws - LL-B. (Spl.) - 3 Years Course
2. 5 Years Law Course
- Bachelor of Social Laws-B.S.L. After completion of three years of the five year integrated Course
- Bachelor of Laws - LL-B. (Spl.) - After completion of fifth year of the five year Law Course
3. Diploma in Income Tax & Sales Tax
This Diploma Course is of one academic year duration consisting of two terms. This course is conducted in the evening between 6.00 p. m. and 7.30 p. m. The University examination of this Diploma Course shall be held only once in year i.e. in March/April only.
Admission to this course is available to any student who has passed Pre-Degree/H.S.C./ Graduation Examination of this University or an examination of any other Statutory University or examining body recognized by the Shivaji University as equivalent thereto.
4. Diploma in Insurance Law and Banking Law
This Diploma Course is of one academic year duration consisting of two terms. This course is conducted in the evening between 6.00 p. m. and 8.30 p. m. The University examination of this Diploma Course shall be held only once in year i.e. in March/April only.
Admission to this course is available to any student who has passed Pre-Degree/H.S.C./ Graduation Examination of this University or an examination of any other Statutory University or examining body recognized by the Shivaji University as equivalent thereto.
5. Diploma in Cyber Law
Consumers are increasingly using credit cards for online and offline shopping. Most people are using e-mail, cell phones and SMS for communication. Even in “non-cyber crime” cases, important evidence is found in computers/cell phones e.g. in cases of divorce, murder, kidnapping, tax evasion, organized crime, terrorist operations, counterfeit currency etc. Cyber crime, cases such as, online banking frauds, online share trading fraud, source code theft, credit card fraud, tax evasion, virus attacks, cyber sabotage, phishing attacks, e-mail hijacking, denial of service, hacking, pornography etc. are becoming common. Digital signatures and e-contracts are fast replacing conventional methods of transacting business.

NSSLC - Infrastructure
The library is the heart of any academic institution and plays an important role in all academic activities and more so in law institutions. Keeping in view, the aims and objectives of legal education, the library has been planned and is systematically developed by qualified professional library staff. It has collection of over 16000 volumes covering wide range of text books, reference books, back volumes, journals & reports etc. apart from current legal periodicals.
The library functions from 9.00 a. m. to 5.00 p.m. Separate reading room arrangement is made for girls & boys students. The students can avail this facility on all working days during prescribed hours.
At the same time the university has hostel facilities, sports facilities etc. to ensure the overall development of the students.
