The O.P. Jindal Global University (JGU) invites applications for a three year LL.B. Degree Programme at Jindal Global Law School for the academic year 2009-2010 commencing from September, 2009.
Jindal Global Law School (JGLS) is India’s first Global Law School. The vision in establishing the JGU and JGLS is to impart globalized education to produce world-class professionals, scholars, and academics in law and other disciplines. Opening in September 2009, JGLS aims to create a student-centered legal education with global perspectives to prepare students to become future leaders in legal practice, academia and public policy in India and abroad. It is looking forward to fulfill this need by equipping students and faculty with the knowledge, skills, scholarship and produce world-class professionals, scholars, and academics to compete globally. Recognition of O.P. Jindal Global University and Jindal Global Law School for purposes of the Advocates Act has been sought from Bar Council of India.
O.P. Jindal Global University (JGU) is established by the Haryana Private Universities (Amendment) Ordinance 2009 (Haryana Ordinance No. 4 of 2009) at Sonipat, Haryana (NCR of Delhi). JGU has already submitted its application to the Bar Council of India (BCI). The first academic session of the Jindal Global Law School (JGLS) is scheduled to commence in September 2009 after the approval of the BCI. The admission test (LSAT–India) by Law School Admission Council, USA conducted by Pearson VUE, through its affiliate in India for selection of students for admission to the JGLS is approved by the Government of Haryana.

ELIGIBILITY: Bachelors degree with at least 50% aggregate marks(Those graduating in 2009 can apply)

SELECTION CRITERIA:
Admission will be solely on merit based on the results of the admission test, which is the Law School Admission Test - India (LSAT–India) by LSAC designed by Law School Admission Council (LSAC), USA.

RESERVATION:
Ten percent (10%) of seats will be reserved for students who are domicile of Haryana and their fee structure is as follows: (a) 4% of students get 100% fee concession, (b) 3% of students get 50% fee concession, and (c) 3% of students get 25% fee concession.

Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Pune and Ranchi.
